Hospital at Libreville project (Gabonese Republic – central Africa). The architectural, design and engineering company HELIKA, member of the multinational group Obermeyer, has recently been realizing designing works for the construction of a modern teaching hospital in the Gabon capital Libreville . The hospital with the capacity of 300 beds, with a complete background and many specialized wards will grow on the main street leading along the coast. The Gabonese Republic provides the investment backup for the project.
HELIKA provides all architectural and designing works connected with the project implementation. The commencement of building is to take place this year.
The second outstanding project in the Gabonese Republic that HELIKA is concerned with, is that of an international airport in Libreville . The new airport should regularly check-out up to ten times the present annual capacity, which at the current terminal is approx. 400,000 passengers. The new airport should thus improve and encourage the modern service between Gabon and the entire world.
The third project, nowadays in the stage of architectural studies and designs, is a cathedral for the Libreville city. The project of the cathedral was thoroughly discussed during the last visit of HELIKA architects with the local Catholic Church authority, archbishop Basile Mve-Engone. The archbishop is coming to Prague these days, in order to discuss the development and direction of the study with Czech architects.
