The company started the first stage of the project, the reconstruction of the Alexandria Hotel complex, in the summer this year and the project is expected to be completed in November next year. A new building is also to be constructed close to the hotel in the future. The construction costs, according to Mr. Krůžela, will be about 360 million crowns with part of the costs being covered by a grant from EU funds.
According to Radan Jurášek from Helika, a.s., which prepared the project, the original character of the historic spa hotels will be retained after the reconstruction. For the design of the new buildings the architects took their inspiration from the period of Alexander the Great.
