FIRST STUDENT URBAN ARCHITECTURE COMPETTION /16. 02. 2009/

Design, architecture and engineering company Helika has announced the first urban architecture competition, entitled "Nové Háje Urban Space Metamorphosis". The competition is open to architecture students in the summer semester 2008/2009 at the university.

COMPETITION RULES:

The competition, entitled "Nové Háje Urban Space Metamorphosis" , is open to the architecture students in all years in the summer semester 2008/2009 in the Czech Technical University of Prague and the Architectural Faculty of the Liberec Technical University. The students are invited to submit their projects to provide a new fresh urban and architectural concept for the location that would combine all the different urban functions – housing, administration, commerce and other functions.

Main prizes:
1st prize: CZK 30,000
2nd prize: CZK 20,000
3rd prize: CZK 10,000 

According to the decision of the judging panel and the sponsor of the competition, the winner could be offered internship in Helika, a.s. or in the parent company Obermeyer  (www.opb.de  ) (the international Obermeyer Group is one of the largest design, architecture and engineering companies in Germany and in Europe currently expanding into many countries throughout the world). The conditions of this internship practice will be specified after the announcement of the competition results.
