The results of the first student urban architecture competition were announced on 2 September 2009 in the presence of journalists from professional periodicals (Architekt, Development News, Stavba, Stavitel, Realit, Materiály pro stavbu, Projekt) and the regional television station for Prague 11 (Meteor TV). The winners first presented their projects and then they were presented with the cheques.
1st prize – Markéta Sekerová and Jan Slanina from the Architecture Faculty of the Czech Technical University. The important aspects of this competition proposal are new ideas fully addressing the urban complexity of the whole area of the future Nové Háje Centre.
• Adjusting the direction of Opatovská Road. With the addition of circular crossings straightening this road to run towards the existing and proposed architectural dominants of the area: the existing Mother Theresa Community Centre and a newly proposed building in the open area south of Opatovská Road.
• Complementing the vertical dominant provided by the existing "Baikonur" residential building by adding a further two vertically dominant structures to complete the composition of the urban fabric south of Opatovská Road.
• Joining the proposed new building of the town hall for the Prague 11 Municipal Area to the new Financial Office Building currently under construction, thereby creating a Municipal and State administration complex.
• Situating a new building in the area north of Opatovská Road to integrate the existing buildings in the present pedestrian zone and proposing the construction of a further new centre building with a wave-shaped green roof providing an architectural continuation of the space of Central Park.
2nd prize – Tereza Dědková from the Architectural Faculty of Liberec Technical University . This competition proposal received the award for its fresh approach to the design concept, introducing a new pedestrian level to unify the area, now divided by Opatovská Road into north and south sections, to create a single municipal area, with the ambition of introducing a different approach to the composition of the residential area. .
• The location acquires a new quality by creating a generous pedestrian area surrounded by high-rise buildings and providing urban spaces of various sizes and characters for the inhabitants, thereby introducing what is now sorely missing in the area – a variety of different municipal spaces.
• The different architectonic expression enriches the largely orthogonal arrangement of Nov é Háje area.
• The design proposal was presented with a high level of professional and graphic expertise, including detailed plans of individual buildings.

3rd prize – Miroslav Klofáč and Radovan Vacík from the Architecture Faculty of the Czech Technical University. The main advantage of this competition proposal is that it introduces a clear architectonic composition to the present chaotic conditions in the area without making superfluous architectural gestures.
• The design for buildings in the north section of the area respects the existing building development above the underground line while providing a suitable vertical dominant in the form of high-rise building overlooking Central Park.
• Providing the opportunity for carrying out the construction works in stages and flexible use of the future buildings, the proposed solution appears to be very appropriate and realistic.
